A method for methane emissions monitoring at facility scale was developed based on a high precision multi-open-path laser dispersion spectrometer. This dataset contains the measured data from the experimental study, and the forward simulated data from the convection-diffusion solver used in the simulation study (note: the BSE reconstructions are not supplied). Both the experimental and simulated concentration data can be used for independent processing. The experimental data consists of methane path-averaged concentrations spatially distributed over the facility under study, together with local meteorology data. The dataset contains 20 days of continuous measurements at a manure management facility on a research farm in Eastern Finland operated by the Natural Resources Institute Finland. The numerical simulation data consists of simulated concentration and source fields along with the velocity fields used to generate them in a FEM convection-diffusion solver. Finally, a FEM grid (node list and connectivity matrix), and the source distribution domain limits are provided.
