| dc.description.abstract | Dataset associated with Nature Photonics article titled "Demonstration of the Brightest Nano-sized Gamma Source" published in 2026. Dataset includes all relevant raw data included in the manuscript, simulation input decks for both 3D and 2D-Hybrid simulations, and an excel sheet detailing laser-shot metadata and the input data for each figure presented in the manuscript. Pirozhkov_AS_Data is an excel workbook (.xlsx) containing metadata (Tab: ShotLog_Raw, ShotLog_data) from the pertinent laser shots and corresponding data files for each individual shot and the plotted data for each figure in the manuscript (Tabs: Fig1 - Fig5, Ext1 - Ext 10). Directories "Back-Reflection", "Forward Gamma Spectrometer", and "Side Gamma Spectrometer" contain .tif files collected on the experiment corresponding to each shot as listed in the excel sheet. "Spot" contains the pixel array for the focal spot image as well as a corresponding calibration between pixel and real space. The "Reflected Spectrum" data is saved in .raw8 filetype which can be opened with the Avasoft basic software which can be downloaded for free from: https://www.avantes.com/products/software/avasoft/ The simulation input decks as well as demonstrative run-scripts to execute the simulations are stored in "2D HYBRID PIC" and "3D PIC". These require installation of the simulation toolkit EPOCH which can be obtained here: https://epochpic.github.io/. The version and compile-time instructions for each installation of EPOCH is included in the specific directories. Initial electron and ion density profiles are included in Tab - Ext2 from the excel workbook. The requisite MATLAB scripts for opening SDF files and setting the input deck requirements for EPOCH are included in the "2D HYBRID/MATLAB". | |
